Me: Just as a quick refresher 😁, I want to try something new! Most of us during school days were targeting for Engineering / Medicine, we were mainly focusing on Maths and Science subjects. Even in this generation, we do the same for our kids!😁 We hardly spent any time on language subjects like English or Tamil or Hindi subjects!😁 Nothing great, but just want to check how many of us know this one!😁 In English, the sentence “Walking is a good exercise” according to Parts of Speech - it is a noun. But there is a specific term for this word “Walking” used in the above sentence according to English Grammar. Do you know what it is? I am sure, Internet search can get you the answer instantly!😁

Me: That’s what - we have a prejudice over unimportant stuff! 😁 As already told knowing about “Gerund” is nothing great!😁Also, there is a reason behind my interest on Gerunds! At school, I used to love “தமிழ் இலக்கண நெறி!”👍🙏 Of all, “விணையாலணையும் பெயர்” is my favorite!😁 It is nothing but name-bound-by-action or noun-bound-by-verb!👍 படிக்காதவன், ஆட்டக்காரன். as part of கரகாட்டக்காரன், பாட்டுக்காரன் as part of வில்லுபாட்டுக்காரன், நிற்பது, நடப்பது as part of நிற்பதுவே… நடப்பதுவே… are all categorized as விணையாலணையும் பெயர்!👍🙏
